He is currently the president of the International College of Angiology and serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Cardiology, the Journal of Cardiac Surgery, and Cardiology. The winner of the prestigious “Socrates Award” for the teaching of cardiac surgery, he is the author, with Lawrence S. Cohen, MD, of House Officer Guide to ICU Care.
